So there's a lot going on in the next 10 days. First off, a reminder that the Last Gasp of the Summer festival is going on this Saturday at the Blue Star in downtown LA. Second, we still have free tix to give away for NEBULA a week from Sunday at Spaceland. And finally, the FYF Fest is happening next Saturday at the Los Angeles State Historic Park just ouside of Chinatown. The cause is nice - saving our state parks in spite of the huge budget cuts. The music may be nicer. Certainly the diversity of the lineup is outstanding. Although we will highlight hte heavier options, there are way more worth checking out. But these bands should command your attention: CONVERGE, TORCHE, DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, LIGHTNING BOLT and CRYSTAL ANTLERS. More to be announced, with the scheduyle to be released Tuesday. Tickets are a very reasonable $20 and VIP tix are still available at $65. What that gets you is TBD, but shorter drink lines and less terrorized toilets would be appreciated. Whatever the perks are, they "promise this is worth it."
