Danzig Ticket Giveaway

It's been a while since we've given away tickets but we should be about to go on a run.  We lead off with DANZIG.  They play Club Nokia on Saturday, June 26th.  Glenn Danzig has been around a long time.  He'll be 55 years old when he plays this show.  Ronnie James had 12 years on him and what seems like a whole lotta more love, but that's deceptive.  DANZIG may not be the most personable of frontmen, but you cannot expect that from someone who wrote this:

Arise Jackie O, Jonathon of Kennedy
Well, arise and be shot down
The dirt's gonna be your dessert
My cum be your life source
And the only way to get it
Is to suck or fuck
Or be poor and devoid
And masturbate me, masturbate me
Then slurp it from your palm
Like a dry desert soaking up rain
Soaking up sun
Like a dry desert soaking up rain
Soaking up sun

Make no mistake.  Danzig has a hardcore and well-deserved following.  METALLICA liked THE MISFITS so much they covered three songs.  And the lyrics to "Last Caress" were so easy on the tongue that I had to learn early on you can't just seranade anyone with a tale of raping their mother.  Danzig eventually bailed on thay seminal band to form SAMHAIN, and then on to a solo career that saw him spend 8 years under the tutelage of a young Rick Rubin--fresh off changing the metal world forever with SLAYER's Reign in Blood--and still continues on without the bearded one today.  The imminent release of Dethred Saboath will bring to an end the six year hiatus since the last album.  It's kind of a surprise Rubin is not at the helm of this one, with his love of resurrections and all, but that reunion is just a matter of time.  DANZIG's live set is expected to span the entirety of his solo career.  Here's to him having the balls to leave off "Mother".  Support will come from ALL SHALL PERISH and TOXIC HOLOCAUST

If you would like to enter the contest, contact us here or email thecityofdevils@gmail.com.  The contest will close at noon on June 18th.  Your chances will be dramatically enhanced if you share a worthy lyrical passage from the man himself.
